Game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, below the Rift Valley wall, through forest, grassland and lake shore. Look for flamingos, hippos, elephants and the park’s tree-climbing lions. Picnic lunch, then continue to Karatu, the gateway to Ngorongoro.

A full day in Tarangire, known for its baobab trees and large elephant herds. Predators often wait along the river for prey. Picnic lunch in the park.

Drive down into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that holds around 30,000 animals, including all of the Big Five. Picnic lunch on the crater floor.

After breakfast, a guided walk to the Elephant Caves and Endoro Falls, where elephants dig for minerals. Then drive to Arusha for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
