Nairobi National Park & David Sheldrick Day Tour

This day combines a game drive in Nairobi National Park with a visit to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, which rescues and raises orphaned elephants and rhinos.

The orphanage opens to visitors for one hour, from 11:00 to 12:00, so the day is timed around it.

Duration: Full day (about 7 hours)
Route: Nairobi National Park, Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage
Price: on request, quoted for your dates, group size and lodges.

How the day runs

Itinerary

We pick you up early and enter the park around sunrise. Look for lions, rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and antelopes, plus a wide range of birds, as your guide explains the park’s habitats and wildlife.

Late morning we drive to the Sheldrick Trust. Keepers bottle-feed the young elephants, who then play in the mud while staff tell the story of each orphan’s rescue. Afterwards you can stop for lunch before we return you to your hotel.
